Speaking of defeated gladiators, this pic cracks me up. I look like I just staggered out of a bar, and I'm telling the bartender that the next guy gets to pay the tab.
So Monday morning I went to Masters class, and after warming up, did the following:
50m Fast, 100m Race, 200m Drill (x4)
4 x 25m Crazy Fast, 200m Drill (x2)
And after work, I went on a 1hr bike ride, easy pace, to loosen the legs. This was followed by a 30-min run, at 8:00 pace. I plan to practice my bricks as if I was racing, and leave my running drills to those days when I'm only practicing for the run. Thanks to all for your advice!
I tried to sign up for Ironman last night, but Active.com freaked out on me when I was paying, and got a message to contact costumer service. I sent them an email, and they replied that I should call them. So I'll do that today at some point.
This morning, I went to the pool at 5AM. The place was empty. I did the following workout:
300m wu; 200m fins; 200m pull; 3 x 100m in 2:30 intervals; 200m drill; 4 x 50m in 1:15 intervals; 200m drill; 200m fast (4:05); 200m cd. After that, I went to the gym to lift my chest/triceps routine. Tonight, I am planning on a 2hr bike ride. Lets see if I'm up to it.
